Account hack - Guild Wars Forums

My acc has been hacked today, was like a punch in the face.
Have no idea what to do, never used hacks or something like that, never shared acc. Lost ALL of the stuff gathered over 3 years. All plat, ectos, whole my collection of low q shield, all weapons. Mailed the support, what else can I do?

scan your computer for viruses (might have been because of a keylogger or something) and stay in contact with support

not much else you can do

Clean up your computer, clean up your act and work with support.

Oh, they deleted also my vabbian armor, that was in a bag that got stolen.

change your password!!!
and then make sure support knows what has happened, what you have done (they will most likely lock the account for a while)....and then find your keys and wait.
While you wait, yes, clean up your computer, viruses, trojans, keyloggers etc might still be there if you have not done so before changing your password.

This preety much. We cant do anything to help you here. if you need some info search "hack" on the forums. im sure you'll get a lot of hits for it.

also make sure you have the account game keys. you'll need to provide at least a few of them to anet support, ask them to change your password. after you get cranked like that, i'd suggest wiping and rebuildi9ng your pc. should only take a couple hours if you have all the disks.

And make sure you backup all your personal files, scanning them to make sure they are malware-free

Pretty much as stated above. Also make sure you are not using the same credentials on multiple sites (e-mail address, character name, and password). That's how my account was hit in Oct. of 2009 - I had forgotten that I used the same e-mail address and password on the incgamers trading site as my GW logon info (before character names where required). The site got hacked and as a result, so did my account because I got lax about changing my GW game passwords.

Also do the same if you have a Master Account on the NCSoft site and have your GW account linked to it. That has been theorized to be a point of attack as well.

Got already contact with support, no chance to get back items, all the same template-mail stuff. Most likely gonna quit GW, no more willingness to earn money only to get it sold on ebay by some lazy fckers.
